After 2nd Best's triumphant clinch of the Iowa State University 2004 VEISHEA Battle of the Bands where they finally won first place, the band had emphatically succumbed to its inevitable culmination. That didn't stop the surviving members from experimenting with a potential new venture in the form of some heart-felt demo tracks created in Garageband in an empty college apartment.

One of these songs went on to be fully realized as "Ciao Bela" recorded at Catamount Studios with the winning studio time from the Battle of the Bands, considered the last true 2nd Best studio track. Or was it?

Colorfully dubbing the new project as "Addicted" after one of the band's banner songs, these demos have finally been dusted off and made to see the light of day here on Bandcamp.
